Just a quick memory-nudge that our next Repair Cafe is taking place at Fearon Hall this coming Saturday, 18th May 2024, from 9.30am until midday. Bring along old, broken items and see if we can fix them for you.
We have volunteers who can mend clothes, sharpen garden tools, look at electricals and electronics and make “general” mechanical repairs like gluing and screwing items together. All repairs are made on a “best efforts” basis, and our volunteers reserve the right to refuse dangerous or illegal repairs, or ones that will take too much time, extra parts, or that they don’t feel skilled to tackle. Having said that we do have a pretty good success rate.
The event is free, though donations to cover costs are most welcome. Fearon Hall cafe will be selling refreshments so you can refuel and have a chat whilst awaiting a repairer. We’ll also have information on hand to help you “love your clothes” and make them last longer.
