As we run up to the Winter Solstice and Christmas, we can’t run our Wednesday evening sessions at the Transition Loughborough Community Allotment as its too dark. So this is announcing the second winter Saturday session at the allotment over this winter period.
It will be on 11th December from 1:30pm until 4pm (ish – sunset is a little before this). Plenty to discuss and do including fruit shrub pruning and collecting of some cuttings plus general tidying and preparation.
Jason will endeavour to bring hot water, tea bags, sugar and milk. Bring your own speciality tea bags if you want anything different to brown tea. Martha will bring something tasty and very possibly festive to snack on.
Obviously this is weather dependent. Any more than the odd light shower on the day will probably mean we will change the date as the clay soil around the plot is difficult to work in really wet weather. If you’ve not been to our allotment plots before, they are situated on the allotment site just off King George Road. All welcome!
