We’ve got two events coming up in the next few weeks.
This coming Saturday (25th June 2016) a Transition Loughborough stall will take part in the Charnwood Arts Picnic in the Park, in Queens Park, Loughborough. We’ll be chatting to people about the projects we’re involved with such as the community allotment, utilise social kitchen, potato day and repair cafes. If you are attending Picnic in the Park pop along and say hello – we should be near the bandstand. Fingers crossed for better weather than last year!
Then on Saturday 9th July we’ll be holding our next Repair Cafe in Fearon Hall. We’ll be open from 9.30am to 11am and we’ll have a variety of volunteer repairers on hand. If you’ve got something that is broken that you’re going to throw away, bring it along and see if we can fix it for you. We’ll also have refreshments on sale whilst you wait for a repairer to attend to your repair, and after we’ve finished there will be one of the regular Utilise Social Kitchen lunches available in the same room. See the poster below for more details.
Don’t forget that we also have our regular Wednesday evening social gardening sessions at our King George Road community allotment site (assuming its not wet!). Drop in and have an enjoyable evening growing and harvesting with like minded eco-friendly gardeners.
