Just a quick reminder that this Saturday Transition Loughborough are holding another gardening workshop at our community allotment located at the site off King George Road (just off Tuckers Road near Charnwood Water). The event runs for two hours from 1pm to 3pm and will be hosted by an expert gardener. He’ll be discussing how to look after a new allotment, watering techniques, consecutive sowing, harvesting, and seed saving. So if you’re getting into vegetable grow at home or on an allotment plot in the town why not pop along to this FREE event for a couple of hours and pick up some useful tips?
- Potatoes doing ok. Let's hope blight stays away long enough for us to get a good crop from them. https://t.co/CTk2Yps5fV 1 day ago
- Talking of harvests, we had some patty pan squashes, broad & runner beans, garlic & onions. https://t.co/5hKJsJQB21 1 day ago
- Squashes & sweet corn doing well. You can see the successional planting in action here, which will hopefully spread… twitter.com/i/web/status/8… 1 day ago
