Just a quick note to remind folk following this website that the Loughborough Skills Share Network (LSSN) will be holding another of its taster sessions this coming Saturday in Loughborough Public Library between 10.30am and 11.30am. The LSSN aims to help connect local people with interesting and useful skills and knowledge with other local people who’d like to learn and expand their abilities. It covers whatever local folk feel they’d like to teach and learn – anything from mending clothes to reading energy bills, learning how prune fruit trees to making your own shopping bags from waste materials. Come along and see how you could get involved!
The session will also contain a “seed swap” event run by members of the Transition Loughborough Food & Gardens group. If you have any unwanted seeds, bring them along, drop them into the collections we’ll have there and then see if there’s any seeds you’d like to take away! The swapping is free and you’re welcome to drop in old seeds, partially used packets, flowers, veggies, herbs, self-saved seeds, freebie packets from magazine fronts… in fact any sort of seeds you’ve got that you’re not going to be able to use yourself. Seed swapping is a great way to pass on excess seeds and also find new plant varieties to try out without breaking the bank!
