We had a very good meeting yesterday (Monday 9th July), and I am really grateful for the support of Sue Attwood and Paul Goodman.
The key point that was decided upon was to hold The Loughborough Skillshare Network launch at The Old Courthouse Cafe on Saturday the 18th of August. I thought it could run from 11am until 3pm, but am open to other suggestions. If we can summon up some of the spirit of Picnic in the Park I am confident it will be another great success. But it will be much easier as it is inside, and there won’t be ant gazebos to put up! There are two areas particularly suitable for workshops, one to the left as you come in the side-door entrance, and the other a room towards the rear of the Cafe that could be divided into two.
It would be great to have the broad categories as picinic in the park: childern’s; and the sub-groups, within which anyone with an idea for a workshop will be able to fit into. Informality and fun will be the main aim. Please let me know your thoughts, and what you could do to help, whether it is preparation beforehand, or on the day? Sue Attwood and myself will be available all through the event, so everyone else can pop in and out to suit the time they have to spare on the day.
