Early planning for Apple Fest

We’re hoping to run an Apple Fest event on 4th November 2011.  Planning is still in the early stages, but its looking like we’ll be running it at the Shree Ram Krishna Centre in Loughborough.  The idea is to look at how different communities produce different dishes from the same ingredients, so we’ll be pitting apple pies against apple based pickles!

More information on the plans will be released closer to the time, but please let us know if you’ve got an apple tree in your garden that you don’t harvest – we can hopefully arrange for some of the apples to be collected and used in this event and similar projects.  Harvest shares have been run by other Transition Towns and proved to be very successful so lets see if we can do the same thing in Loughborough!
